July & August

It's Summertime! It has been REALLY hot here in Texas but Piper is still cool...she is so cool that she even has her own car! We were given this little car by another family and Piper likes to ride in it and talk on her car phone.

We stuck close to home in July and enjoyed the summer in our pool and at swim school. Piper has now graduated to Aquababy class and can "hold" her breath for 10 seconds...swim school makes her really hungry though...

We had dinner at our friends house and they have a son the same age as Piper. They get along really well as you can see.

In August Amy's parents came to visit and Piper showed off her driving skills...

Piper has turned into a little comic finding the funny things in everyday life. One example is featured below. As Kurt was getting her ready for a bath Piper thought it was hilarious that her shirt could get stuck on her head like this...

The most exciting thing that has happened lately is Piper's first haircut. She was getting a bit shaggy so we had her trimmed up all around and it turned out really well. We got a couple of good locks for the baby book and Piper came out looking like a sharp little girl...

She got lots of treats (sucker and fruit snacks) from the hairdresser and did great...no crying or anything. I think she quite enjoyed herself being the center of the entire salon's attention!

Finally, in mid-August Amy travelled to Knoxville to visit with Amy's parents and celebrate a baby shower for her friend Whitney. Piper got to spend the weekend with Oma and Pop wich she enjoyed. She was so tired the morning we left she didn't even wake up when I took this picture...
