October
Welcome to another edition of the Greene Family Blog. It has been another exciting month for us. We have been blessed with a beautiful fall with both cool and warm weather. This type of weather has been great for being outside. Piper loves going to the playground but one day she tripped and fell and bit through her lip so she had a fat lip for a week or so...I wish I were this pretty with a busted lip!

Stella continues to delight us with her laid back personality and new tricks. She now consistently rolls over and is almost sitting up on her own.
The most exciting thing in her life is the Jumperoo we got for her. She LOVES this thing and wants to jump all the time. She even jumps herself to sleep on an almost daily basis....
Days 1 and 2 of the Jumperoo...
Probably the most exciting thing that happened this month was Piper's Birthday Party. The party had a princess theme (of course) but we still had to have a jump house (gotta love tomboys!). Since she is now potty trained she was able to invite one princess to her birthday party so she invited Cinderella. The girls were so enthralled by Cinderella and Piper was absolutely thrilled - her reaction when she saw her was priceless!

Then of course there was Halloween. Piper was SuperGirl this year and Stella was a flower. Piper had a great time trick-or-treating! They also had matching Halloween outfits but getting these two to sit still and both look at the camera at the same time is practically impossible so these are the only photos I got of them in their cute little outfits.

I took Piper to a pumpkin patch with her friend Allison and Allison's mommy Laurie. It was freezing but we all had fun and picked out some beautiful pumpkins...
Stella had her own special event this month. She got baptized at church on Nov. 2nd. It was a great service and the entire congregation enjoyed it.
We have truly enjoyed the beautiful colors that Tennessee has to offer this time of year. I guess having been away from it for 7 years makes you appreciate them. I don't often take photos of nature but couldn't help myself this year.
We hope this blog updated finds you happy and healthy. I will leave you with a few pictures of just everyday life here at the Greene house...

Vacations, birthdays and Fall - Oh my!

Welcome to another edition of the Greene family blog. Life continues to be full as we have had many adventures in the month since we last reported. Stella continues to be a joy and is now 4 months old. She is super smiley now and has a great laugh that earned her the nickname "Chuckles" (courtesy of Amy's Dad).

Our first adventure was a trip to Decatur, AL to visit Amy's grandmother and help celebrate her birthday. It was a special time for all of us and Piper got to see her favorite family member - Adam (Amy's cousin).
Next on the agenda was a trip to Stone Mountain. Kurt had a business meeting there so we all went and while he was meeting the girls and I went to the park. It was great because school had started the week before so it was empty! We didn't have to wait for anything! Piper had a great time at the petting zoo, on the train and especially the kids ropes course. I strongly recommend Stone Mountain to anyone with children - it was a great time.
After Labor Day we took our highly anticipated vacation to the beach. We had a wonderful time and fantastic weather (despite many hurricanes in the Gulf of Mexico). It was really relaxing, Piper had a great time and Stella didn't miss a beat. After all the stress from the move it was exactly what we needed.
There was a large magnolia tree so Piper climbed it and I snapped this picture.
Everything at the beach is fun - even bathtime! Thanks Pop for a super-fun bubble bath!
Piper met this "pirate" at the beach and after much convincing decided she would say hi and take a picture with him. She talked about this for days!

Everyone had fun at the beach...even Stella!
Piper turned 3 years old on September 15th! Her pre-school teacher held a special ceremony to mark the event. As you can see this is the first time Piper has been in front of her class so she was a little nervous but did a great job. I brought the cookies she helped me make and shared them with all her school friends.
Later that day, we had a b-day celebration at home with just the four of us. We had a small cake and she opened presents from Kurt and I. She got a tricycle, a guitar and a stick horse. She had a great time and can't decide which gift she likes best - the tricycle or the guitar!
There are some videos of Piper's birthday plus her playing the guitar on You Tube. Click these links if you are interested in seeing them.

We are starting to get some really nice weather here and are enjoying the beginning of Fall. We hope you and your families are doing well and we will be back next month with tales of our adventures!
