We've been growing!!

We have had so much fun in the fast few months I haven't had a chance to update everyone on what has been going on! This should cover Feb, March and most of April...enjoy!

Stella has grown up so much these past few months and LOVES to sit in her highchair and eat and play. Here Stella is playing with whipped cream and Piper is playing with shaving cream...they loved this and made a HUGE mess!

Piper had been talking about going to a "ball" (too many princess movies) so I found her one! She and Kurt went to a Father/Daughter dance in February and she had a BLAST! Not to mention she looked so cute! She talks about the ball all the time and wants to go back. She also thinks that because she went with Daddy that now he is her husband and that we are both married to him - he is one lucky guy if you ask me!

March brought mobility to our home - in the form of Stella Greene! She is a lean, mean crawling machine! It took her a while but she has it figured out and is FAST!

As you can see from these photos, Stella is a HAPPY girl...she thinks Piper is hilarious, loves the dogs and can't get enough to eat. Her hair is growing ever longer and I try my best to get it up in little bows and ponytails but it's hard to do that on a wriggly baby!

In mid-March we went to Pigeon Forge, TN for Piper's Spring Break. Kurt was in Germany (or somewhere) so Piper, Stella, my Mom and I armed ourselves with a mini-van, a GPS and a credit card and hit the sites. We had a BLAST! We went mining for gems, on a pony ride, to a CRAZY petting zoo, an Upside Down House, a black bear exhibit and most importantly the Dixie Stampede. This was Piper's FAVORITE thing we did - she is still talking about it and she got so engrossed in the show she ate an entire chicken! No really - she ate an ENTIRE chicken - it was amazing. Finally, you can't go to Pigeon Forge without have an old timey picture made - I love the looks on our faces in this picture! The photographer said "give me your sassy face" and Piper knew exactly what to do...hilarious!

Another favorite time of the day is bathtime. Stella has a great little seat she sits in during double baths so that both girls can bathe together. They both think it's great fun and it usually ends up in a soapy mess! In this particular picture, we had undressed Piper and I jokingly put her panties on her head. So I got a pair and put a pair on Stella's head too. Kurt ended up with a pair on his head but wouldn't allow a photo!

Stella has become a great eater - she hasn't rejected any real food we have given her! She loves chicken, black beans, cheese, pizza crusts, sausage, mac-n-cheese, nutri-grain bars, peaches, pineapple, apple, grape, carrots - you name it she loves it. I give her these little biter biscuits and she loves them and keeps her entertained. The only drawback is she gets them all over herself, in her hair and all over the highchair! I can't deny her though b/c she loves them!

This picture was one I took when they weren't looking. They "play" together all the time but Piper won't let me document it with a picture. Usually Piper starts playing with something and Stella crawls over to see what she's got. Piper is pretty good about it and lets Stella see and sometimes even gives her something to play with. These moments are so sweet and I got lucky this day and got a picture snapped before they knew what was going on!

Stella is still experiencing a lot of teething symptoms and on this day she decided to turn her highchair into a chew toy. She often tries to chew on dog toys and even decided to chew on me yesterday! That hurt because she has some teeth already!

One of Stella's FAVORITE things to do is play in the dog's water bowl. One day she did it 3 times! She slaps the water and eventually gets it all over herself and the floor (as in the photo above). We have resorted to moving the water bowl outside on the porch (poor dogs) because we can't keep her out of it. She is just like her sister in her love for water!

This is a picture of one of the first time Stella had the same dinner as we did. It was one of Kurt's old recipes. I don't know what it's called - i call it Tater Tot Pie and she LOVED it.

This was Easter Sunday - they were so CUTE in their matching dresses and sweaters. They were both really jazzed up though so this is the best picture we could get of them together!

One of Stella's other favorite pass times is to feed the dogs from her highchair. This is at my parent's house where she is a little closer to the floor. She likes it because she can feed them directly from her hand.

This is a great picture I got one Saturday evening. Piper was watching a "show" and I put Stella up there and they both smiled!

Stella drinking her bottle - she FINALLY has started holding her own bottle. Does this kid ever get out of her highchair? Yes, she does. It's just that the only pictures I can get of her when she's out of it are of the back of her head and her rump!

More eating...

Here is one of her after she crawled over to the couch and sat down. That's her best move - crawl somewhere and then sit down on her bottom and see what she can reach to play with.

We were blessed to have Kurt's brother, wife and two boys join us for a long weekend in early April. We had a great time and are so thankful that they made the long drive to Chattanooga for a visit. We went to Rock City while they were here and Michelle snapped this photo of us.
Amy, Stella and Kurt in "Fat Man's Squeeze" at Rock City.
Here is Piper with her favorite cousins - Jackson and Austen. She LOVES these boys and thought it was great she had them all to herself for a few days. The boys were so sweet to her - she can't wait to see them again.

Here is a scenic picture of Chattanooga from Lookout Mountain.

This is a sweet picture I took one morning. Piper is sitting on a little chair that plays music. Stella crawled over to her and Piper wanted to hold her so I put Stella in her lap - it was a sweet moment.

Another favorite activity is to go on bike rides. Piper and Stella both get into a trailer that Kurt pulls behind his bike. I get to ride solo (yay!). Both girls get quiet during the rides and they love to ride and look around.
Have a WONDERFUL spring and hopefully I will be able to update everyone more frequently this summer!
